Why hire me? I have a history of quickly achieving trust and cooperation from developers through careful research.

At 3D Systems, I added the role of software team lead to my writing duties, guiding a cross-functional team of testers, developers, marketing representatives and process engineers in producing software releases for a complex machine control system and three-dimensional graphics application.

I have experience in dealing directly with developers and following up with them to make sure they provide the necessary information and support.

I am confident in my abilities and I enjoy technical writing. I follow up with my internal customers and make certain they are well served.

Writing samples I have put links to some Dell documents here, since these are publicly available. If you are interested in additional samples, please send me an e-mail.
Dell OpenManage Remote Install User's Guide, version 1.1:

This document describes a remote management application. I wrote the current revision, adding the FAQ, the What's New section, and several new features as well as improving the hyperlinking throughout.

For example, the document, which is used as the on-line help for the application, had a set of topics which documented the menu options but did not link back to the rest of the book; I lobbied the development team to get links added and integrated those topics with the rest of the book.

Dell OpenManage Server Administrator Version 1.4 Command Line Interface User's Guide:

This document tells how to use the command-line functions of the Dell server management software, which is primarily aimed at scripting.

For this project, I learned the syntax of the commands, tested them by remotely logging into systems, and updated the text with the latest features and bug fixes.
